May 20th Webinar

Missed our webinar? That's okay! A recorded version of the webinar is available here below. This webinar was for anyone interested in submitting a project idea for DRI funding. It provided an overview of the DRI program and what types of projects were eligible to be considered for DRI funding. The webinar reviewed the Open Call Form and submission process with time for a Q & A.

The Local Planning Committee will recommend a select group of projects for funding in their Strategic Investment Plan (SIP). The Open Call for Projects solicited projects from the public, not-for-profit, and private interests.

The best projects will satisfy most or all of these criteria:

  • Have a transformative impact on the downtown;

  • Catalyze additional private and/or public investment and socio-economic benefits;

  • Provide broad public benefit including co-benefits beyond the project's primary purpose;

  • Be ready for implementation in the near term (within 2-3 years);

  • Most effectively advance the community's vision and goals;

  • Align with the DRI program goals and eligibility requirements; and

  • Represent an effective and efficient use of public resources.

Applicants with an idea for a smaller project that did not meet the requirements in terms of project size and scale, were invited to download and fill out a Small Project Fund Interest Form.
